Where is my data stored?

In an encrypted vault in ~/Library/Application Support/Treepie/Flow on your computer. It is included in Time Machine or File History backups and never uploaded unless you turn on sync.

Does Flow Desktop work offline?

Yes, completely: pipeline, contacts, quotes, reminders and search all work with no connection.

How do I activate it after paying?

Your receipt email contains a licence key. Paste it into Flow Desktop under Settings → Licence, or run `treepie flow activate --key …` in Terminal.

On Pro you also get an API key. Flow Desktop runs a local REST API on localhost, so scripts and tools on your computer can read and write deals using that key.

Does the app need to call home?

Once a month it checks the licence. If you’re offline, it keeps working for 60 days, and you can renew by importing a licence file.

Can I sync with Treepie Flow in the cloud?

Optionally, on Pro. Sync is off by default and you choose which pipelines go up.

Can I import my existing CRM?

Yes, from CSV or from Treepie Flow. Most CRMs export CSV with deals, contacts and companies.

What happens if I stop paying?

The app becomes read-only and you can export everything.

Is my vault encrypted?

Yes, with AES-256. The key is held in your macOS Keychain, protected by your login and Touch ID.

Is there a Windows version?

Not yet. Flow Desktop runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Can I move to a new computer?

Yes. Copy the vault folder or use Migration Assistant; deactivate the old computer in Settings to free its licence slot.
