01The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [Treepie registered company name] (“Treepie”). They cover the website, the cloud products — Flow, Nest, Loop, Desk, Books, Growth and Pulse — and the desktop apps Flow Desktop, Growth Desktop and Scout.
If you accept them on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that organisation. An order form or signed agreement takes priority over these terms where they conflict.
02Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate account information.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite.
- Tell us promptly at security@treepie.co if you suspect unauthorised access.
03Cloud subscriptions
Each cloud product is sold as a subscription on Starter, Standard or Complete. Pricing units differ: Nest is per employee, Desk per agent, and the others per user. Free roles — such as client-portal users in Loop or invited accountants in Books — are described on each pricing page.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless cancelled before renewal. You can add seats at any time; additions are prorated.
04Desktop app licences
- Licence key. On payment we email a licence key that activates the app on the number of computers your plan covers: one on Solo, three on Pro, or one per seat on Team.
- Yearly licences include updates and support while active. If a yearly licence lapses, the app becomes read-only and you can still export your data.
- Buy-once licences let you use the version you bought indefinitely, with 12 months of updates.
- Transfers. You can move a licence to a new computer by deactivating the old one. Licences may not be resold or shared beyond your plan.
- Your data. Desktop app data is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing it up.
05API keys and code mode
Pro and Team desktop plans, and cloud plans that include the API, come with API keys. Desktop apps expose a local API on your own computer; cloud APIs are subject to published rate limits.
- Keep keys confidential and rotate them if exposed.
- You are responsible for scripts and integrations you run with your keys.
- Do not use the API to resell access to Treepie or to build a competing product from it.
06Free trials
Trials last 14 days unless stated otherwise. At the end of a cloud trial your workspace stays available read-only for 30 days so you can subscribe or export. Desktop apps stop accepting new data after the trial until a licence key is added; existing data stays on your device.
07Fees, taxes and refunds
- Prices are set separately for the US (USD), UK (GBP), UAE (AED) and India (INR), and are not currency conversions.
- Prices exclude taxes such as sales tax, VAT or GST, which we add where required.
- Annual cloud billing charges ten months for twelve. Fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable except as stated here or required by law.
- Desktop app purchases can be refunded in full within 30 days of purchase; the licence key is then deactivated.
- If we end a service for convenience, or you end it because we breached these terms, we refund prepaid fees for the unused period.
- We give at least 30 days’ notice of price changes, which apply from your next renewal.
08Your content
You keep all rights in content you add to Treepie. You give us permission to host, process and display it only as needed to provide and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
You can export your content at any time, and for 30 days after a subscription ends. We do not use your content to train AI models.
09Acceptable use
You must not use Treepie to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including privacy and anti-spam laws;
- upload malware, probe or overload our systems, or bypass security or usage limits;
- store data you have no right to process, or special-category data without the safeguards the law requires;
- scrape, copy or resell the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
10AI features
AI features such as Pulse answers, summaries and drafted replies are generated from your records and may be incomplete or wrong. Citations are provided so you can check them. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before acting on them or sending them to others.
11Availability and support
We aim for 99.9% monthly availability for cloud products, excluding announced maintenance. Service credits, where offered, are set out in your order form. Support is available by email on every plan, with response targets published on our support page.
12Our intellectual property
Treepie and its licensors own the products, software, documentation and trademarks. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them during your subscription or licence, under these terms. Feedback you give us may be used to improve Treepie without obligation to you.
13Third-party services
Integrations with third-party services are provided for your convenience. Their providers’ terms govern them, and we are not responsible for their availability or how they handle data.
14Warranties and liability
We warrant that the products will perform materially as described in their documentation. Except for that, and to the extent the law allows, the products are provided “as is”.
Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profits, revenue or data. Each party’s total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
15Ending the agreement
- You can cancel a subscription at any time; it ends at the end of the current billing period.
- We may end or suspend the service if you materially breach these terms and don’t fix it within 30 days of notice, or immediately where required by law.
- After a cloud subscription ends you have 30 days to export; then we delete your content as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Desktop app data is on your device and is unaffected by cancellation; yearly licences become read-only.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then and receive a prorated refund of prepaid fees.
17Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your order form says otherwise or local consumer law gives you rights that cannot be excluded.
