What must a UK VAT invoice include?

A unique number, date, your VAT number, supplier and customer details, a description, net amount, VAT rate and amount, and total.

What is different about a UAE tax invoice?

It is labelled “Tax Invoice”, shows the supplier’s TRN, and states VAT at 5% in AED.

How is GST shown on an Indian invoice?

With GSTIN, HSN or SAC codes, and tax split into CGST and SGST for supplies within a state, or IGST between states.

What payment terms should I use?

Shorter is usually better for small businesses. Fourteen or thirty days are common; state the due date as a date, not just “net 30”.

When should payment reminders go out?

A friendly note a few days before due, then on day one, seven, fourteen and thirty overdue, getting firmer each time.

What is a pro forma invoice?

A preliminary invoice used for deposits or customs. It is not a tax invoice and should be clearly marked as such.

What is a 13-week cash flow forecast?

A week-by-week view of receipts and payments for the next quarter, used to spot cash shortfalls early.
